So far we have had a good start to the season for the Juniors, we have a few new accesories on the cars with the throttle stops on top of the Carbys, we have had a few issues dialling these in to stay above 8.5 but we will be good to race consitently once the rules change allowing us to go down to 7.99!

Katies JD has gone through some cosmetic changes with her rear end now the same set up as jamies, this has cut off probably 5-10Kgs of her overall weight, this dropped her ET down as well!




Last race meeting on the old rules at Benaraby this weekend, so we will keep everyone updated with the results!

I am very proud to announce that we had our Two JDs up against each other in the final at Benaraby last saturday (24-7-10)
It was a great day of racing, Jamie took out the top qualifier with Katie in third qualifier.

They both had lane choice all night and both of them chose to run in lane 1 which was a little bit slippery (apparently this is more fun??)
So when it came to the finals Jamie picked lane one which had katie in lane two which was very sticky as all the big cars had been using lane two all night!
End result:
Jamie dialled in a 8.61 (pete did originally make it a 8.60) and then ran and 8.609..
Katie dialled in a 8.750 (this was as .50 less than her best) and then ran 8.497...
Goes to show even the Jds are very unpredictable!

I would also like to add that Katie had cracked a perfect light during Friday nights test and tune and also Saturday all lights were between .400 and .500 with .400 being a perfect light at Benaraby!

We are gearing up for a great weekend of racing, we will have two JDs racing, unfortunatly due to some toe surgery and some OTHER issues, Jamie will be unable to race, so we have recruited a young Lady to replace him for the weekend! Lisa-Jane Ferricks, Lisa has been racing JDs for a while now her family are also very involved in the drag racing scene! This will be Lisa-janes last opportunity to race as she has sold her car and is soon going to be too old to race JDs!



We should hopefully see two JDs in the 7's or very close to it!

Well we had a good weekend, all things considering, the race meeting started nearly two hours late with the area having no power!! Then a major accident involving two super Sedans held up proceedings for a while, luckily it was only vehicle damage and both drivers were ok.
We had the juniors both dialled out to run in the 7.9's unfortunatly we were then shown the new rules which explained that from the 1/8/10 we had to do 6 runs between 8.5 & 8.9 these had to be completed after the 01/08/2010, we then have to do 2 single passes between 7.9 & 8.5, these have to be witnessed by and Andra official, then get there licence record books signed off, send there licence and record book at Andra to get them reissued with the new class on them.
So in a nutshell we cant run quicker than 8.5 until this is completed, all good fun!!
So both JDs were dialled back to where we had them at the last meet in Mackay, and both ran consistent 8.6's all day, Both RDP Jds would have made the final again, however Katie rolled over the finish line in the last round and we then discovered that she may have broken the crank or cam inside, so Lisa-Jane got to race the final on her own, so we pulled the throttle stop out all the way and started her up, she did a really good burnout, even got a bit loose! then ran an impressive 8.4 at 77mph!! that was her last JD race and her quickest!
